Joshua 16

^{1 !} The lot or parte of Ephraim.

^{1 a} That is, to Ephraim and his children for Manassehs portion followeth.

^{3 b} Of their inheritance.

^{4 c} Seuerally, first Ephraim and then Manasseh.

^{7 d} For so farre the coasts reache.

^{9 e} Because Ephraims tribe was farre greater then Manasseh. therefore he had two cities.

^{10 !} The Canaanite dweled among them.
